It depends upon how the customer desires their photographic image. For making a good studio setup the most important thing is choosing the room. If you want to setup a good photographic studio, find a room that is about 15 to 18 feet long, so that there will be at least 12 feet distance between the background and the camera. And the room width must also be at least half of its length, so that there is sufficient place to keep the lightening equipment in the room. Height of the room is also important to give good viewpoints.

The ceiling as well as walls of the photographic studio must be painted with washable white or matte finish. Install various electrical outlets with the distribution box on a cable. Before installing the electrical outlets, choose the wall that you want for your background. Also, install an air conditioner or a ventilator in the studio to reduce the hot effect due to lighting equipment used.

For getting an incredible effect on the photos you can use cloth or a muslin background. You can even paint the background in a similar style. Most people are creating their own style of background with cotton or muslin fabric and also using complimentary paint in their photography studio setup.

Likewise lighting effects are also vitally important in home photo studio setup, so keep good lighting equipments in your studio. Use a light set that consists all the equipment starting from light to diffusers and soft boxes.
